Ellen Grimm Spencer

Ellen Grimm Spencer is a partner at Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP and concentrates her practice in the areas of trust and estates administration; family wealth and estate planning; estate, trust and gift taxation; estate and trust litigation; supplemental needs trusts for the disabled; elder law; asset protection for Medicaid purposes, the Medicaid application process and Medicaid appeals.

Ms. Spencer frequently lectures in these practice areas for legal, medical and financial professionals as well as the general public. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Spencer worked in the financial industry in Boston, Massachusetts.

Attorney Spencer is admitted to practice in all New York State Courts.

She is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County and the Erie County Trust, Estate and Elder Law Sections of the Bar. She is also a member of the Western New York Estate Analysts.

Ms. Spencer is a graduate of Nardin Academy and Denison University. She received her juris doctor from State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.
