Edward J. Murphy

Edward J. Murphy, III is a partner in the Buffalo, New York law firm of Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP. He concentrates his practice in personal injury and business litigation, and represents clients in commercial and residential real estate actions and litigation. In the area of municipal law, he handles all matters including labor, zoning, planning, land use regulation and litigation.

Mr. Murphy has more than 25 years of trial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and business litigation matters. His experience includes cases involving products liability, labor law, premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents. He has additional experience in contract negotiation and litigation, insurance coverage, and environmental litigation. Mr. Murphy has significant experience representing municipalities. He currently serves as Village Attorney for the Village of Hamburg, New York.

Mr. Murphy is admitted to practice in all New York State courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western and the Northern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

​Mr. Murphy is member of the New York State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Erie County, the New York Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Murphy, a graduate of Hamilton College, received his juris doctor from University at Buffalo Law School.
